The great thing about a theatrical training is one can always turn a crisis into a drama.
Stormy correspondence about the recent loss of staff at Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama, has been littered with literary references. Students say "this place is a cross between Kafka and George Orwell", while "there is something rotten going on in the state of Rose Bruford ...", writes one contributor to the protesters' web site. "To lose one fine teacher might seem like carelessness - to lose three and possibly more seems like deliberate policy," writes another. And an emotional speech to the annual Natfhe meeting called for them to "rage, rage against the dying of the light".
