Dundee University is marketing three-year honours degrees in its new prospectus in a bid to combat a downturn in British entrants from outside Scotland, and to attract high-flying Scottish pupils who are poised to take innovative Advanced Higher school courses from this autumn.
Dundee has suffered a drop in non-Scottish entrants, thought to stem from bad publicity surrounding fourth-year tuition fees. Its proportion of Northern Ireland students, for example, has fallen from 14 per cent to 8 per cent.
