Still on the subject of sexual selection, Professor Jones reminded his audience that sociobiologists note that rich men tend to be more attractive to women and thus pass on their genes at the expense of others. Perhaps this is advance warning of the demise of sociobiologists - Eric Ash, former rector of Imperial College, noted: "If rich men have this great advantage I think it must militate against scientists."
