Is London Guildhall University never going to be able to forget the financial troubles that nearly capsized it? Take this week's gathering in Victoria Tower Gardens, next to the Houses of Parliament, as the university's top brass gathered for a photo-opportunity to celebrate the LGU-located Fawcett Library's Pounds 4.2 million in lottery dosh, complete with Madam Speaker, a brace of Labour MPs and a historic banner (see above).

Then, with perfect, coincidental timing, a bespectacled, besuited middle-aged man clearly on his way to work wandered down the pavement outside the park and waved cheerfully to them - Roger Hancock, the LGU finance officer who was one of the earliest victims of the crisis a couple of years ago.
