Delegates at last week's Royal Geographical Society-Institute of British Geographers annual conference at Exeter University found they had a new fan, local professor of education Ted Wragg. Addressing the higher education study group, Professor Wragg confided that he had hated geography at school, but now loved it. "And it's not just because I married a geographer who beat my head in.''
