Understanding how genes and their corresponding proteins function and interact in vitro and in a cellular context is one of the current interests of biotechnology research. New tools are needed for exploring all aspects of functional analysis, including interactions, localization, identification, expression, modifications, and activities. Invitrogen are interested in supporting research in all of these areas as well as in bioinformatics and microarray projects for the second quarter of the 2002 grant programme.
Grants ranging from approximately $25,000 to $100,000. currently accepting proposals from researchers developing innovative tools in the area of functional analysis.
