A former university lecturer is campaigning against Dutch people giving each other three kisses when they meet. Dolph Kohnstamm, who worked at the University of Amsterdam, described the triple pecks as a social terror that people are forced to endure.
The 66-year-old told the Haagse Courant : "All books about good manners prescribe only one or, on some occasions, two kisses."
Mr Kohnstamm has distributed more than 200 badges bearing the slogan, "Twice is enough". He said that by wearing the badges people were showing they only want to be kissed twice.
