Lancaster University's management school is to lead a consortium to provide a leadership college for the learning and skills sector. The college, to be known as the Centre for Excellence in Leadership, will also be delivered by the Open University, Ashridge Business School, and the Learning and Skills Development Agency. It has been set up to boost the performance of staff in further education colleges and those working in the learning and skills sector, and to improve standards of teaching and learning.
