GE Equity has invested Pounds 1.3 million in Wide Learning, an online financial learning company. Wide Learning provides finance and business courses to banking professionals and private investors and has an exclusive contract with the Securities Institute - the major examining body for the securities and derivatives industry.

The company has raised more than Pounds 10 million in investment. It plans to use the money to develop more courses and expand into the United States.
