The Further Education Funding Council has had its nose put slighly out of joint with the news that the Association of Colleges is to host the launch of the Kennedy Report next week. Apparently Helena Kennedy had asked the AoC some time ago to host the event. The somewhat miffed FEFC was asked by the AoC if it would like to host it jointly. Of course they would pay part (ideally half) of the Pounds 20,000 bill. The upshot is that the AoC is "taking a lead" in the launch that is being paid for jointly with the FEFC, even though the FEFC is actually publishing the report.
