London University cuts library access

STUDENT access to the University of London library is to be reduced as part of a new college subscription mechanism. The UoL library board met on Tuesday and approved a system of funding which cuts student access to tackle a cash crisis which threatened the library's position as one of the country's leading collections. So far only three of the major constituent colleges, University College, Royal Holloway and Queen Mary and Westfield, are to maintain full student access.
