A seminar analysing the expanding role of postgraduate teaching assistants across all disciplines in higher education will be held on October at Regents College, London. The UK Council for Graduate Education at the University of Warwick, which is organising the seminar, said there was now recognition of the need to provide training and development for postgraduates in teaching. Undergraduates would become the losers, it added, if the change led to a lowering of teaching standards.
