MPs examine engineering innovation

The House of Commons Science and Technology Committee is to launch an inquiry into engineering and physical sciences based innovation. It will look at how engineering firms choose which new products and processes to develop and will investigate issues ranging from the industrial application of government-funded research, intellectual property rights and patenting, to the role of Foresight and the research council in fostering technology transfer.
