New group against tests

十二月 1, 2006

Academics who oppose animal research at Oxford University have launched the Voice for Ethical Research at Oxford, a group to campaign against vivisection.

The group was set up to oppose animal experiments in general and the university's animal research centre in particular by former and present Oxford staff and students. Its founders include Sharon Howe, an Oxford graduate who this year returned her MA in protest at the new animal research centre.

Vero hopes to counter the success of pro-animal research group, Pro-Test, set up by teenager Laurie Pycroft last February.
