The Universities and Colleges Admissions Service has joined the Gloucester College of Arts and Technology to offer professional courses to businesses.

They have established the Cheltenham Business Centre - consisting of classrooms, a library and a learning centre - in the Ucas building, where Gloscat staff will teach.

But they do not mention another connection between the two institutions. The Diary notes that Ucas chief executive Tony Higgins was vice-chairman of the Gloscat governing body from 1993 to 2000.
