OK for OU to get into medicine

The Council of Heads of Medical Schools has given the Open University the go-ahead to develop proposals for an access course for a degree in medicine. The medical schools at Kings College London, and those at the universities of Manchester, Leeds, and Glasgow are among those who would collaborate with the OU. The course would allow students to enter the first year of a medical degree. It would be a first step towards the OU developing its more ambitious plans for delivering undergraduate medical courses.
