Plans for a £132 million redevelopment programme by Oxford Brookes University have been rejected by the local authority. The university is "taking stock" after Oxford City Council declined to approve the plans for four buildings grouped around a central piazza. The application was refused after concerns were raised about the development's impact on neighbouring properties and a conservation area. Paul Large, acting registrar, said: "We listened to residents' concerns carefully and made changes to the original plans based on the feedback."
