We predict that the staff of Belfast's new European Institute of Protestant Studies will have mild reservations about current developments in the Northern Ireland peace process. The institute is located in the Paisley Jubilee Complex and is next door to Ian Paisley's Free Presbyterian Church. There are plans for it to be the biggest Protestant library in Europe. Arthur Noble, director of studies, said that the plan was for the institute "to light the way for Ulster to return to Bible Christianity, to forsake the ecumenism and appeasement that have dragged our province into the mire."
