Part-time allowance will benefit 24,000

Skill, the national bureau for students with disabilities, has welcomed the government's decision to give the disabled student allowance to part-time higher education students in England and Wales. It estimates that some 24,000 people with disabilities will benefit.

Postgraduates should be entitled to the disabled student allowance, according to the National Postgraduate Committee, which has launched a campaign for such an extension.
