Preparing students for work 'takes money'

Universities need long-term money if they are to prepare students for work, according to industry and higher education leaders. While short-term projects, such as Enterprise in Higher Education, can help, they can never shift long-held attitudes, says the employment skills overview group set up by the Committee of Vice-Chancellors and Principals, the Confederation of British Industry, and the Council for Industry and Higher Education two years ago.
