St Andrews University psychologist Verity Brown (pictured) is to use tests similar to computer games in research that might help Parkinson's disease patients. Dr Brown, new head of the school of psychology, will focus on the reason for patients having difficulty in switching attention from one issue to another. Dr Brown said: "The research explores how we are able to process information selectively. It will compare the differences between the brain circuits of Parkinson's patients and their healthy carers."
