The software company Oracle is to give United Kingdom students the opportunity to acquire a Certified Oracle Practitioner qualification as part of their degree course. Universities where the scheme will be launched include Bournemouth, Cranfield, Derby, Napier, North London, Northumbria, Salford, Staffordshire and Sunderland. Commercial IT qualifications already available as part of a UK degree course include those of Cisco, Microsoft, Novell and Sun Microsystems.
