New research aims to help patients with Barrett's oesophagus, which can lead to cancer. A team led by Janusz Jankowski - Sir James Black professor of gastrointestinal biology and trials at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry (part of Queen Mary, University of London) - have completed a major survey of the evidence, published in the British Medical Journal. Professor Jankowski said the findings should offer patients "a better road map to work from so that they and their doctors can manage their condition both effectively and in a timely fashion".
