The principals of integrated schools in Israel and Northern Ireland have met at Queen's University Belfast to help inform research into education in areas of conflict. The visit enabled education experts from each country to share their experiences. Claire McGlynn, lecturer in Queen's School of Education, has undertaken extensive research into education's role in building social cohesion and post-conflict societies. She said the visit aimed to bring together professionals from two highly segregated systems to "gain a comparative insight into the leadership and practice of integrated education".
