Schools join in

Tim Boswell, further and higher education minister, said this week that schools as well as universities and colleges will be able to bid for money under the European Union's new Socrates programme for education co-operation. The programme will have Pounds 689 million for the next five years, plus Pounds 102 million for the Youth for Europe programme. The continuing Erasmus programme will now come within Socrates.
