Well over 100 options are expected to flop onto education ministers' desks with Sir Ron Dearing's report next month. Education ministers, on the other hand, are said reliably to have confined themselves to just three. The morning after the report before, you can expect to see them adopt one of these: 1) delirious enthusiasm from the government over one particular funding option: 2) chatter about consultation with a nudge and wink towards the favoured suggestion: or 3) resounding silence.
