For the second time this year, Oxford University's last remaining women-only college, St Hilda's, will vote on whether to admit men. A statement by the college governing body says: "The governing body decided on November 12 that a vote will be held later this term." The governors are backed by St Hilda's principal Lady Judy English. She last week faced a vote of no confidence from students who claimed that communications had broken down. Lady English declined to answer questions on why a second vote was necessary.
