Students' turn for the push

Student staff on Florida's campus newspaper The Reporter were given just 15 minutes to leave the office last week after they went too far with their April Fool's edition, renamed The Distorter , despite pleas from the college to tone things down. They were racist, sexist, pornographic and offended locals with a spoof advert for a spray that would "Kill Townies Dead". Sex columnist August Brown said: "We pushed some buttons that may not have needed to be pushed." A new student newspaper will be launched in autumn.
