Postgraduate students will work with industry experts to develop special effects for films and create cutting-edge computer games animation at a new Centre for Digital Entertainment at the universities of Bath and Bournemouth. The centre has industry partners from the computer animation, games and visual effects industries. It has received £6.3 million in initial funding from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council to fund 50 doctoral studentships in digital entertainment, starting in October and spread over eight years.
