Queen's University, Belfast, is determined to erase its "ivory tower" image and pursue strong and active links with the community, pro vice-chancellor Brenda McLaughlin told a graduation ceremony audience last week.
Queen's outreach campus in Armagh, launched in 1995, saw its first 15 students graduate, with BA degrees. The campus also has a key role in state affairs as the site for the North-South ministerial council and for the Centre for Cross Border Studies.
