Researchers at the University of Aberdeen are asking what makes people green. A major study will investigate the motivations behind environmentally friendly behaviour. The research will examine the links between a person's love of nature, sense of wellbeing and the likelihood that they will act in an environmentally friendly way. MRI brain scans will be used to analyse any connections. It is hoped that the findings will improve understanding of how sustainable behaviour can be encouraged and inform policymaking to tackle climate change.
