Final-year undergraduate students at the University of East Anglia tackled the world's biggest political question earlier this month as part of a simulated peace conference about the Middle East's problems. Organised by Nicola Pratt, lecturer in East Anglia's School of Political, Social and International Studies, the event divided students into delegations from Israel, Egypt, Jordan, Syria and the Palestinian Authority. They were then challenged to reach agreement on issues including the future of Palestinian refugees, the borders of a Palestinian state and the security of Israel.
