An Australian professor will discuss how to account for the post-1960s "theory boom" in academic humanities in a lecture at the University of Sussex this month. Ian Hunter, assistant director of the Centre for the History of European Discourses at the University of Queensland, will focus on so-called "spirituality" in modern disciplines, and intellectual self-transformation to access higher truth. The talk will be held at 6pm on 22 October.
