A grant of more than £250,000 has been awarded to the University of Warwick to fund a collaborative research programme involving its Centre for the Study of the Renaissance and the Centre for Renaissance Studies at the Newberry Library in Chicago. The initiative will last for three years and will investigate "Renaissance and early modern communities in a transatlantic perspective". The scheme, financed by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, will involve workshops, a residential summer school and two eight-week visiting fellowships.
