The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) will offer free training on its newest release of the sequence authoring software, PatentIn 3.3. The 2004 training dates are: May 21and September 10. Each session will run from 9:30 to 3:30 PM, with a one-hour lunch break from 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM.
Course Content:
Each class will include:
- Overview of molecular biology
- Overview of the sequence rules
- Hands-on authoring of several sequence listings varying in complexity
- Questions are welcome throughout the training. In addition, the instructor is available after class to assist customers with their sequence listings.
Course Instructor:
The instructor is Robert Wax, the Project Manager for PatentIn 3.1 and 3.2 and one of the USPTO's sequence rule experts.
Course Location:
Classes will be held at USPTO's new headquarters in the Remsen Building. The Remsen Building is located at 400 Dulany Street, Alexandria, Virginia.
