Coventry University is making use of the latest internet technology to create an integrated online learning environment. More than 2,000 modules on the university curriculum are supported through WebCT software developed in Canada.
These "study webs" include self-test exercises and feedback forms for students, as well as electronic "discussion areas". Andy Syson of the university's Centre for Higher Education Development, responsible for the development of online learning, said that students, particularly those studying part-time, benefited from improved communication.
