Welsh vice chancellors and principals have welcomed the narrow "yes" vote in last week's devolution referendum. But Keith Robbins, chairman of the Heads of Higher Education (Wales) warned of the importance of adequate funding: "We feel sure the assembly will not wish to preside over a second-class system of higher education - with the inevitable consequences for the Welsh economy in general and the attraction of state-of-the-art international companies in particular."
