Five higher education bodies from around the world have signed an agreement to strengthen graduate education.
At the first global graduate education conference in Banff, Canada, the Council of Graduate Schools (US), the European University Association, the Canadian Association for Graduate Studies, Deans and Directors of Graduate Studies (Australia) and the Association of Chinese Graduate Schools signed the nine-point agreement.
The pledge includes preparing graduates for global careers, clarifying and strengthening the role of the masters degree, promoting collaboration between universities in different countries and understanding the global flow of graduate students and early-stage researchers.
