Brussels, 03 July 2002

Inserm, the French public institute dedicated to biomedical research, has launched a programme to place young scientists and researchers in top ranking scientific projects.

The 'Avenir 2002' programme, which has no nationality restrictions, will give the young scientists financial support of around 60,000 euro for three years, around 50 square metres of laboratory space, access to core facilities, the opportunity to create a small team with the financial support of a foreign post-doctoral fellow and, for the post doctoral candidates, a monthly fellowship of 2,300 euro.

Up to 40 positions are available and collaborative projects are welcome.
