The use of hydrogen as a renewable fuel source could be coming closer with the launch of a £2.2 million hydrogen energy research and demonstration centre at the University of Glamorgan. The centre, part of the university's faculty of health, sport and science, will showcase the safety and viability of production hydrogen from local renewable resources. Earlier this year, the university launched the UK's first minibus powered by a fuel cell using hydrogen.
