Disagreeing with Meg Barker's position on sexually predatory lecturers is one thing, but an ad hominem attack is objectionable. Saying, in effect, that she had it coming because of her behaviour is even worse.
Shame on Peter Leapman, and shame on The Times Higher for publishing his letter.
