My colleague Andrew Morgan says that academics in the UK should "encourage our academic colleagues in Israel to challenge what (the Israeli Government) does, rather than merely copy that Government's reprehensible approach" (Letters, April 29). Someone who can describe an academic boycott as copying the brutality visited daily on the Palestinian people by the Israeli Government is clearly living on a different planet from this one.
