How does reinforcing the attitude that maternity leave is a kind of sabbatical ("Push ahead with winning attitude", Working Knowledge, June 29) serve the cause of career advancement for dedicated stay-at-work mothers? Surely commitment to embedding new practices in response to long-overdue family friendly legislation will prove more helpful than perpetuating out-of-date superwoman myths?
