Faith in hypotheses

If the report on governance in church universities and colleges had suggested that those institutions could or should behave in the way described in The Times Higher ("Call to spell out Christian ethos", October 19) I would be even more concerned than Sally Hunt. You have given publicity to hypothetical examples without evidence of the hypothesis on which they are said to be based.
