My criticism of John Parker's attack on "the tired triadic of social theory" was unfortunately mistyped as "the third triadic of social theory (Letters, March 12).
However, "third triadic" carries with it a unique theoretical mystique. I hereby claim exclusive intellectual property rights on this cutting-edge concept. What "the third triadic" actually means I cannot yet reveal, but it is nothing less than the holy grail of sociological theory.
