Pondering the usefulness of university presences online, it seems to me that one crucial factor is missing - namely a facility for interacting with university vice-chancellors. A weekly session rather like Prime Minister's Questions, where all comers can ask vice-chancellors about their diary commitments and other activities, would surely be an instant hit.
