I am a committed atheist, and yet I was taken aback by Anthony Glees's suggestion that universities should ban faith societies.
Perhaps my Oxford college should shut its chapel? Freedom of association aside, surely banning such activities from campuses would only force them underground, away from any possible monitoring by the university?
Much easier to recruit in a bedsit than in a student union room, I would have thought.
