You reported that Leeds University had been criticised for cancelling a talk on anti-Semitism due to be given by Matthias Küntzel and has been urged to invite him back ("UCU condemns Leeds", May 18).
For the record, the university wrote to Kuntzel at the end of March confirming that he would be invited back.
Colleagues have been in discussions with Kuntzel for a number of weeks, and I wrote to him on May 15 seeking to agree a date for his lecture.
We are awaiting his response.
