Your comment on the employment practices of Shorter University in the US seems to miss the point (The week in higher education, 3 November). Frowning on adultery is a vital aspect of "the boring 'love thy neighbour as thyself' stuff". If it is acceptable to steal your colleague's wife, then presumably it is also OK to steal his goods or tell lies about him.
