I am pleased that the article "Lower fees for foreign students" (25 September) recognised the University of Bedfordshire's great strength in international recruitment. However, by underestimating the university's turnover by almost 50 per cent - we have a turnover of nearly £90 million, not £50 million - we have been wrongly listed among the top ten most vulnerable universities.
Bedfordshire is, in fact, one of the most financially robust institutions in the sector, as the Higher Education Funding Council for England has confirmed.
Les Ebdon, Vice-chancellor, University of Bedfordshire.
